That wave of AI art that hit us a while ago really brought a lot a feelings that I don't necessarily like, such as self-doubt and an Impostor Syndrome nearly impossible to get rid of. As a result, I found myself without an inch of inspiration turning to my favorite shows and movies for comfort. One of them being The Matrix franchise.
Ironically, movies that deal heavily with the aftermath between humankind and AI. And guess what: we lost. LOL. But it's incredible how inspired I felt to make Neodämmerung. The name comes from one of my favorite songs from the soundtrack (besides "Mona Lisa Overdrive" and "Burly Brawl") that sets the tone in Neo's and Agent Smith's final battle.

For the title treatment, I had a very clear concept that it should incorporate three main aspects: steel, the falling hologram effect, and the color green. For obvious reasons.
I've built the whole scene using Blender and then I took a photo of me right here on my living room. The rest of it are images from free royalty image banks and a very detailed and awesome Blender file for the sentinel.
The challenge here was to bring as many easter eggs as possible, without making it supercrowded, from the Metacortex building to the DéjàVu cat. Halfway done, I've realized my coat wasn't flowy enough, so I made an extra part of in in Blender, to give that extra touch of bad-assy.
As reference, I've looked up to some Batman comic book covers, where he stands above the top of a building, watching the city. Thought it was a pretty cool concept to mimic in Neodämmerung. You can watch some of my process below:
